White pepper on red fruit, very nice — 4 years ago
I was able to attend another Wednesday Wine Committee this week and it did not disappoint (they never do). As normal, all wines are tasted blind (1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds, 1 dessert).
My red of the day. Proudly, I actually guessed the blend and the producer correct (thought it was either Ridge, Carlisle or Martinelli). Figured it to be young. Inky color. Jam packed up front with black fruit and a small amount of blueberries, but the mid palate showed more finesse and the finish was gorgeous. Still tight, but lots of potential. — 5 years ago
Still going strong. It's delicious. — 2 years ago
Fruit sourced 69% Martinelli Charles Ranch Vineyard & 31% Platt Vineyard, both vineyards have cooler climates, aromas of concentrated stone and tropical fruits, with some floral notes. The palate shows crisp apple and peaches with delicate minerality. The finish shows some toasty tones and spice from the oak aging. The wine was well balanced with lively acidity adding weight and richness to the lingering finish. — 4 years ago
Big, bold cherry. Very similar to Martinelli moonshine Pinot. Well balanced, rich fruit, still young. — 4 years ago
Light in color and texture but also earthy flavors- very drinkable. — 4 years ago
