Kröver Paradies Spätlese Trocken Mosel Riesling 2004

19 years young. Peach, apricot and so much slate. Very airy. Confectionary aromas as I coax it. Juicy, complex and mineral with that piquant 2004 acidity and lusciousness. Outrageously complex. Juicy as all can be with peach and apricots galore and a slatey mineral finish. Superb. Outrageous florals after air. Lilacs and even roses. — 18 days ago

Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Getting better with age. . . Still not an overly complex cab but much more blended tannins that provide a smoothness that covers up the limited flavors. Still have some bottles and look forward to seeing how this is in future years. — 20 days ago

Not sure this answers the question, but felt like this could have had more levels of flavor. Maybe that will be revealed with more time. As for cost, I bought these a while ago on winespies and just sitting on them.

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Medium plus in body with long fat legs.

Dry on the palate with medium acidity.

Showing blueberries, black cherries, black plums, cedar, licorice, chocolates, vanilla, espresso, cola, light herbs, spices and light black tea.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 8 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley is very tasty now. Spicy and rich, yet elegant.

Showing nice complexity at this point. Soft and smooth. Tangy, with lots of coffee and chocolate notes.

Not too bold, and easy drinking right out of the bottle. After an hour in the glass, tannins show up, only to enhance the experience.

Peaking now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next few years.

I had it with a Charcuterie board, but will also pair very nicely with a nice piece of steak.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes where aged for 16 months in (50% new) French Oak barrels.

14.6% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$38 (current vintage).

Jessie James Vineyard Pinot Noir 2021

Medium Ruby color with aromas dark red fruits, black tea and ample floral spice, aged in 8% new French oak for 21 months. On the palate flavors of black cherry, blackberry and plum with tobacco, cedar, black pepper, tea and vanilla spice. Soft fine tannins, long finish, well balanced with acidity, ending with fruit, herb, spice and flinty wet stone mineral character. Nice! Organic! — 11 days ago

Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2021

Typical pinot - fairly light. Nose is earthly. A bit of spice with some sweet fruit. Finish is quite long. Overpriced US wine, but overall not bad. — a month ago
