Aromas and flavors of black cherry and grape bubble gum. Additional notes of graphite, rose petals, black licorice and freshly tilled loamy soil. Extremely bright acidity and soft tannins. Pretty full bodied (more than I expected for a Beaujolais) and lively. Great food wine. Extremely easy drinker. — 4 months ago
Gamay which I am not normally drawn to. Biodynamic and very full bodied — 23 days ago
For the price this is a really house wine. — 2 months ago
Tom Casagrande
Nose is lively, with equal parts fruit and cracked stone. The fruits are bright and ripe and tangy. Also a bit of spice. In the mouth, the zingy and assertive fruit is still there, but it’s in a surprisingly structured package. Bone dry, good acids, even some chalky tannins in the back half of the palate. Atypically for a Saint Amour, it seems like it could improve for another couple of years.
