I’d say we got it at the tail end of its peak.
Lemon curd, dried bananas, Asian pear jam and flambé pineapple on the nose.
A lot carries over to the palate, some heat from alcohol comes through and on the finish without food you get taste the nutty oxidative characters from age.
Pairing it with bosari salted pork chops, chicken thighs and works very well. Also have a Eastern European cheese tart. Basically sweet bread with blintz cheese filling — 3 months ago
