Long finish, solid wine — 22 days ago
Nose jumps out of the glass. Ripe red cherries, plum and lots of spice. Slightly roasted as well. But not dominant and might blow off. Palate is just a massive blockbuster of a Brunello. Big and bruising with luscious, high acid cherry fruit. Complex but also a clipped finish and big tannins. But this is balanced. Just needs air. Fruit is sweet and massive. There is nothing subtle here. Really fresh and energetic. For what it is it’s very nice but it’s something I’m not sure I want to drink beyond once a year. Very long. Maybe my score goes up with air.
Narrator: my score went down with air. Became more tannic and nose got more roasted. 9.4 to 9.2. — 2 months ago
Wild and wonderful blend featuring the rare Mouraton varietal. Rose musk, exotic spice, cherry, wet earth aromas, palate is lithe and zippy with a saline/mineral finish. Very very cool — a month ago
