Been 2 years+ since I’ve had this. Nose is gorgeous now. Nose is honeyed almonds and steel wool. Nuttiness as well. Sense of richness but also super umami notes. Chenin is a major umami grape. Confectionary honeycomb on the nose. So gorgeous and such clarity. Really a knockout nose. Palate is clear, vivid and has terrific, knock you on your ass acids. Tangy and also really leaves an imprint on the palate. Fantastic purity and presence. Really really long. Brown sugar on the nose now. A sick sick wine. Maybe best chenin I’ve had from Michel Chèvre. — 4 days ago

Deep gold colour and quite rich - moreso than I remembered from last bottle a year ago. Some white fruit flavour and that slightly dull feel I get from dry Chenin that feels like low freshness/acidity to me. Would be a good choice with food. — 10 days ago

Really like this Wine, tasted 6 months ago, aging great. Pale lemon with ripe white fruits and wet stone aromas. On the palate ripe apple & peach, very complex, lively acidity. Long finish ending with mineral and sweet honey character. should continue to age, but great now! When I get a bottle I just can’t leave it in the cellar!! — 18 days ago

Pop and pour (from the fridge, so colder than cellar temp to start). On the nose: laser focus, electric green apple, soft oxidative notes and a touch of lanolin, sour lemon. On the palate: stunning acidity, sea salt, lemon, sour apple, fantastic weight and density, and so clean. Just lovely now, but plenty of room to pick up weight. Wait a while for next bottle, but pretty spectacular already. — a day ago

Triple Zero Montlouis Petillant Chenin Blanc

Green fruit esthers, quince, pear, chalky minerals, on the nose. Lots of pretty green and yellow fruit on the open knit palate, with pleasant bit of contrasting bitterness and sweetness on the finish, and enough acid to carry the bubbles. This is great, planning to hold a few bottles for 5-10 years.
Incidentally, handily beat the Lassaigne side by side, at a third the price.

Lovely. Pairs with many foods. Has undertones of fruit like lemon, pineapple and pear. Kinda sweet so a white meat (chicken, pork or fish) with some spice is in order. I had a gilled boneless breast of chicken with a spicy orange marmalade glaze - with a generous helping of chili flakes - rice and broccoli - and it was great. — 4 days ago
