Ruby with aromas of ripe dark fruits, oak and spice. Full-bodied wine with medium acidity, fine tannins and a slight warmth of alcohol present. The ripe fruit flavors of cherry and strawberry are complex yet not overdone. Some cacao, tobacco, pepper and toasty notes appear on the long finish. Tasting Sample. — 3 years ago
On the nose, amazing perfumed red & blue florals fruits of; dark cherries, blackberries, cherries, blue fruits and strawberries. Tree sap, vanilla, soft medium spice, dark rich soil, caramel, mocha, crushed rocks, gummy bears and dark, fresh floral bouquet.

The acidity is near perfect. The texture, tension, length and balance are quite stunning this nice this young. The long, soft, well balanced finish is really beautiful and lasts two minutes.

The subtle nose of roasted hazelnuts and heel worn church stone staircase.
Bright, fresh berry, tart, Rainer cherry, good tannic structure, the acids break free and throw their charms right up in your face.
More acid than I have ever had, from an IGT red wine. An excellent tipple.

Another great wine from Fortuna vineyard! Full bodied with a very mellow ending. Lots of dark fruits and solid flavors. — 3 years ago
life is surprising as usual.
less then a week after a great cheapo napa Merlot i meet a super expensive napa blend.
a friend got it from her parents, opened up and drank some, and it wasn't to her liking.
so she offered the half bottle left over to that guy 'who's really into wine'. i saw a pic and hurried up to take it straight after work.
from my understanding this was sold on the 'premiere napa auction ' in 2013 and probably bought in a shop later on.
from the premiere website:
' for premiere napa valley, we offer this single-vineyard wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Merlot, all tightly planted on this slope of shattered rock high on the eastern flank of Oakville'
deep garnet 👀
started fruity as hell with mostly ripe raspberry and cranberry sauce. but oak spices and some earth and tobacco followed and set the tone after a while. lovely pronounced👃
medium pleasent tannins.
this is exactly what I expected from a high end napa. crazy complicated fruit varaiety with added spices and some earth. silky and velvety 👄
super long 🎯
this is excellent. not my fave type of wine, but still excellent.
terrible vfm (more then 200$ probably).
but if money is not an issue, get a case or two.
i think it hasn't reached it's peak yet.
wasn't hungry but tried it with a few cheeses for the sake of trying. Camembert style, yellow goat cheese with cumin and some smoked yellow cheese all benefited from this fruit bomb. — 3 years ago
Only that 2014 is the best. Not 12 or 15. — 4 years ago
