A rather nice and just sweet enough Riesling Kabinett - serve cold and you’ll imagine this is what Teddy Pendergass had in mind when he was singing this line on “Come go with me..” : ‘let’s get a glass of some cold cold wine...’ Smooth, seductive and smooth - a prefect glass for a nice evening! — 3 years ago
It surprised me. It’s got a tropical herbaceous thing. Like the tropical cocktail with just enough herb garnish to cut through whatever juice is in it. And bone dry. Do I have a metaphor for this...let’s see it is a movie that’s starts as a chick flick and then has a deep message but then still has a happy slightly cliché ending, and you’re okay with it. It’s the 13 Going on 30 of Chenins. Hop on hop in like the bunny on the bottle. — 4 years ago
Beautiful Biodynamic estate with a hidden cellar straight out of a James Bond flick. From their selection of young vines. And ahhhhhhhhhbbb the stony floral Sauv Blanc gives the wine lift and air, the wings, while the secret engine of Semillon provides a deep counterbalance, a waxy rudder guiding the whole contraption smoothly thru the air. Day two: even more aerodynamically pure. Drink then. — 2 years ago
Super floral, slightly sweet, all delicious. — 3 years ago
Quite tense&powerful and with the Morstein mineral bite. Great balance between the surprising sweetness to the fruit (peaches & passion fruit) and the steely acidity with a touch to spice in the finish. Drinking very nicely. — 4 years ago
The bouquet on this is outstanding. Blue/black fruits, a hint of smoked meat, lavender, mint and spice. Slight flick of heat. Black cherry, brine, licorice, cedar on the palate. Linear acidity and smooth tannin. Good finish too. F’n solid! Perfect for V-Day steaks. — 3 years ago
Smells like a souvenir shop off La Rambla, spices, herbs, perfumed soap and incense; escapism more pure than a Stallone flick. Wonderful! Tannins and acid are in check, taste follow the nose, bit more soapy perhaps, bit more one-sided, but still more than just a nice thirst quencher. — 3 years ago
Lady fingers dipped in dark roast coffee. Dreamy, sensual. This wine reminds me of that mesmerizing guy in my college class who pulled a paring knife from his backpack every Wednesday evening at 7:00 and cut slivers of apple, flipping them from the knife tip to his mouth with a sexually suggestive flick of the tongue. The softest of porn, pornographic in the Victorian sense. And a happy discovery for me — Trader Joes sells slutty wine inexpensively by cutting out the wine pimp. — 5 years ago

So smooth. A flick of lime that softens into fruit. Really delicious, smooth and well balanced. Would go with any food, or delightful on its own. — 2 years ago
