Beautiful Biodynamic estate with a hidden cellar straight out of a James Bond flick. From their selection of young vines. And ahhhhhhhhhbbb the stony floral Sauv Blanc gives the wine lift and air, the wings, while the secret engine of Semillon provides a deep counterbalance, a waxy rudder guiding the whole contraption smoothly thru the air. Day two: even more aerodynamically pure. Drink then. — 4 years ago
Super floral, slightly sweet, all delicious. — 4 years ago
Joachim Flick, Riesling Classic 2020
The nose is great! Lemon, lemon zest, a chalky touch, and some flowery notes. The palate is dominated by a laser beam acid drive which is complemented by nice a juicy lemon notes all along, a good width, a vivid mouthfeel and a tiny bitter, zesty note in the end, after a mouth-watering finish. This is a good yet simple dry German Riesling and I liked it very much — a year ago
The bouquet on this is outstanding. Blue/black fruits, a hint of smoked meat, lavender, mint and spice. Slight flick of heat. Black cherry, brine, licorice, cedar on the palate. Linear acidity and smooth tannin. Good finish too. F’n solid! Perfect for V-Day steaks. — 4 years ago
He may not have been honest with me about this one. Said it was the Bodin on the menu, yet I didn’t point, I just said it, so perhaps it was a flick of the franglais that caused the faux pas. The thumb was properly positioned in his favor though. — 4 years ago
So smooth. A flick of lime that softens into fruit. Really delicious, smooth and well balanced. Would go with any food, or delightful on its own. — 4 years ago
Smells like a souvenir shop off La Rambla, spices, herbs, perfumed soap and incense; escapism more pure than a Stallone flick. Wonderful! Tannins and acid are in check, taste follow the nose, bit more soapy perhaps, bit more one-sided, but still more than just a nice thirst quencher. — 4 years ago
My favourite Cotes de Bourg wine & after having the yummy 2010 & 14 recently I wondered if a 19 year old top vintage @ £98 would hold well & yes it sure didly 😉 88 points from Parker 🤣 but not worth it’s hefty price tag 🤑

Briny, bruised and lemony may sound like some sort of marine horror flick but it is what makes this tick. Zippy, saline, but full, and absolutely drinkable. — a year ago
