Opened prior to dinner. The 1999 Blanc pours a slightly hazy, amber color with medium+ viscosity. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of butterscotch, mango, ripe melon, guava, beeswax, mushroom, white and yellow flowers, and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long, almost decadent and full of mushrooms. Both intellectual and hedonistic. Drink now through 2034. — 2 days ago
Reddish in color with medium intensity.
Fresh picked cherries and strawberries on the nose with light chocolates notes.
Medium bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with cherries, strawberries, raspberries, chocolates, earth and spices.
Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and raspberries.
This is a very young Grenache blend from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Complex and engaging. Nicely balanced and spicy. The high alcohol is well integrated already.
Ripe and fresh tasting at this point, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
Easy drinking and good by itself as a sipping wine.
A blend of 75% Grenache and 15% Syrah with some Mourvedre and Cinsault. Aged mostly in concrete vats for 12 months.
16% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

Deep Ruby red color with aromas of ripe black fruits, pepper spice and oak. On the palate flavors of ripe blackberry and plum with cinnamon, cacao, cacao and smoky notes. Big chewy tannins, medium+ finish, lively acidity, nice mouthfeel, ending with vanilla and earthy mineral tones, a fine Sipping Wine!! — 8 hours ago
Located in the Toro region of Spain. Its four vineyards are located along the south bank of the Duero River, aged 18 mos in 60% new French oak. Bright Ruby, complex fruit aromas, spice and oak. On the palate blackberry fruit, powerful, elegant, with spice & smoky notes on full, very fine tannins. Long finish, nice mouthfeel, ending with mineral earthy tones, a joy to Sip!! Will age! — 22 days ago
Brilliant wine. So fresh, tart berries, bright flowers, stone, some herbs, mouth watering acidity from fruit flavors, apple, berries, cherries, hint of tropical fruit. So good with food. So good on its own. This is how I remember more Beaujolais tasting 10-15 years ago. — 14 days ago

Don’t see this varietal on a restaurant menu very often, so I grabbed it. Great choice. With rack of lamb and braised beef short ribs, it was truly wonderful. — 9 days ago
