Been a minute since I rated anything. This is wonderful. Deliciously acidic that gives way to subtle earthiness and a decent amount of tanin for a barbera. Had on NYE with Calabrian meatballs — 14 days ago
Debut vintage for Fabrizio Iuli making Grignolino. Some 3000 bottles made, aged in concrete only. As with all his wines these days, ripeness is controlled perfectly, tannins obvious but grainy and the acidity handsomely fruity. — 6 years ago
Excellent Barbera in a hot vintage. Lots of fruit that's refreshing and not imposing. Closes a bit sooner than the fruit might indicate. Decent backbone. — 9 years ago
Perfectly balanced Barbera from Monferrato… no blueberry jam here, this Bobby Stuckey curated wine has enough “lift” to pair well with charcuterie and more. Dark cherry with a hint of limestone… aged in neutral oak and concrete by Fabrizio Iuli — 3 years ago
