Rózsa Petsovits Syrah

A very elegant rose which is surprisingly dark. A lot more fun to drink than the usual rose you get plus a complete bargain. Impress your friends and bring a bottle or two! — 4 months ago

Vice Versa

Vice Versa Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

I love me some Vice Versa. The only thing better than the wine might be the people! Samantha and Patrice are amazing people, and Maayan and team Atelier Melka need no introductions. I am so happy to watch them succeed. Having purchased an estate property last year, we can’t wait to visit them in the future. Ok, back to the wine. While “im”patiently awaiting my single vineyard designates to age I am enjoying two of their lines, Le Petit Vice and the Napa Valley blend. While I prefer the 15s and 16s to the 17, the Napa Valley blend never fails to impress. More tasting notes next time. — 4 months ago

Josh Cellars

Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Another Cabo Costco find for less than $11.50. First sip didn’t impress but after sitting for 30 minutes it was a different story. — 12 days ago

Avoyelles California Red Blend 2015

I have become a big Patria fan. The Avoyelles is a cab franc dominant blend, along with 35% CS and 9% petit verdot. It just smells and tastes soooo very good. Manages to impress on every front: beautiful floral aromatics, minerality, fine-grained tannins and a long finish. Extremely balanced and highly recommended. — 3 months ago

Daou Vineyards

Adelaida District Cabernet Sauvignon

Exceptionally smooth and dark fruit-forward as are most of the Paso Robles wines that I’ve tried. Daou vineyard continues to impress. — 2 months ago

The Lane Vineyard

Gathering Club Adelaide Hills Nebbiolo 2018

Neb from The Hills never fails to impress. Good concentration but still light in the glass.
Drinks better after a few hours open.

Broc Cellars

Love Red North Coast Carignan Blend 2011

I love all of Chris’s wines (Broc is the only winery we’re currently a member at) and even these entry level bottles truly impress. I was surprised at the level of depth and intensity on this bottle, wonderful ripe red and black fruit, aromatic and friendly. Low on tannin but the acid provides wonderful structure to support the bushels of fruit. Great pairing for a dim sum spread and a couple Szechuan-inspired dishes. One of my favorite $20 bottles in recent memory. — 4 months ago
