Red Super Tuscan Blend that is equal parts Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. Deep red/purple color. A cornucopia of berry fruit aromas (Red, blue and black) along with touches of ash and earth. Explosive berry fruit flavors with hints of stone and orange peel. Full bodied with very firm tannins. — 4 days ago
Despite not being akin to white wines, this one was delightful. Light, refreshing, with almost a grassy and earthy tone. It would be perfect throughout summer. — a month ago
Deep and complex nose of sour cherry, raspberry, cedar, steeped black tea, old leather, vanilla, and forest floor. Flavor echoes the nose with hint of fig like sweetness. Vibrant palate with vivid acidity. Gripping tannins.
Great Rioja even in a so-so year. Will cruise for another 10 years easily. — 3 days ago
This captivating Pecorino shows a bouquet of candied ginger with dusty florals, wild herbs, incense and crushed green apple. Silky and rich, yet balanced by stimulating acids and mineral-tinged orchard fruits, it tapers off spicy with a hint of sour melon that keeps the palate wanting more. $22.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, April 2021) — 11 days ago
Still very young, but on the third evening it starts to shine. Very smooth and creamy texture, an abundance of tropical fruits, and a very subtle acidity which makes the decisive difference between just a very sweet wine and a wine with finesse and class. — 7 days ago
I am not a huge fan of white wines with a floral nose, but in this one it plays very well. The flowers are subtle, with an overriding minerality coming forward. That’s where I like my white wines to live. Aromas of tangerine and lemon zest are abetted by the smell of wet rocks and a trace of what smells to me like oregano. The palate is all about those minerals, with a subdued citrus flavor along for the ride. The acidity is great, perfect for something from the ocean. I paired the I Ferretti with a seafood risotto for dinner, and wished that it was on the table at lunch when I had polpo, a grilled octopus salad. — 23 days ago
Ania bday wine. Bought at winery about 8 years ago. Last drank in PR last year. Awesome how amarone should be. Blackberry raspberry tobacco on nose. Delicious cherry prune with chocolate mid plate followed by cherry again or is it prune. A red fruit black fruit mixed to perfection with some earthy tobacco overtones. Damn wish Gad another couple of bottles. Awesome. One of my top 8 amarone producers. Delicious. — 17 days ago
