Dessimis Pinot Grigio 2018

10 months on lees. A bit pink and nutty. We all preferred the Vie di Romans Ciampgnis Chardonnay. — 4 days ago

Friuli Grave Pinot Grigio 2020

Very drinkable and refreshing when the weather is hot. This can be an everyday summer wine for sure. — 4 days ago

Rive Alte 'Toc Bas' Friuli Isonzo Friulano 2019

Lacking complexity right now, needs time. Muscular elements show promise. (And I’ve had a couple of very good aged bottles of this.) — 10 days ago

Cuvée Flors di Uis Malvasia Istriana Blend 2016

Very elegant and gentle, but with some bitternes of grapefruit. Grapes: malvasia, riesling, friulano. Quite a lot of tropical fruits, but still - it's gentle. — 15 days ago

Vie di Romans

Chardonnay 2018

Very good, but sauvignon blanc was better. It's rather dry with a pear, buttery biscuit and a gentle honey note. — 17 days ago

Le Due Terre

Sacrisassi Rosso Colli Orientali del Friuli 2007

50% Refosco 50% Schioppettino
In great shape
It needs time to open up
Yes, you can tell the warm vintage, but hasn't lost a bit of its refosco balsamic freshness.
Silky tannin.
Plus the schioppettino has added its layers
Incense is so intense that i am afraid it might put off some unexperienced drinkers.
It explodes in the mouth and stays quite long
Long persistent memories of a forest undergrowth and balsamic licorice keep staying with you for a while
