Nose has fresh cherry, under-ripe cherry, ripe raspberry, strawberry jam, slight wood bark, slight alcohol, cherry jolly rancher candy and dried cherry.
Palate has (bright) dehydrated tart cherry, dried strawberry, slight acidic notes, dehydrated citrus with mild tannins.
Decanted 2H, high acidity nose on initial pour. Wine displays translucent amethyst with clear, light brown edge.
An absolutely fantastic Bourgogne! Bought a few months ago from a trusted source ($36!), honestly expecting to be dead, but we're so far from that it's breaking my mind...
I believe this is Monthélie vines.
The most perfect and supple cork, no Durand required today.

Nose: hints of seashells and nuts. Hints of yellow fruits.
Palate: still very fresh. Hints of green apple. Hints of yellow fruits. Very mineral. Electric freshness. Hints of richness. Delicious.
Long juicy finish
A stunning performance for a village wine.

In 1953, Jean Baumard acquired vineyard in Quarts de Chaume, in 1968, purchased substantial acreage in Savennieres. Today Jean’s son, Florent, manages the winery. Aromas of green fruits, floral and flinty notes. On the palate green apple, pear, melon and slight nutty flavors, well balanced with acidity. Medium+ length ending, no fluttering with fresh juicy mineral, just like the butterfly on the label! Will age well if you can resist opening. — 5 years ago
Not too sweet, easy and bright. — 3 years ago
Black cherry, wet earth, just a touch of brett-funk. This should be something special in a few years. Fierce. — 5 years ago
