Loads of fruit expand on the nose -mostly strawberry with a little bit of cranberry. Not much spice, but some mild toasted oak. This is medium to full-bodied for a pinot noir. Acidity was medium low, and perhaps for that reason I wasn't getting the more tart fruits, like pomegranate, that the description was touting. The oak gives it a nice custard note on the palate. Tannins are low and smooth. At 14.5% ABV, I was surprised; the alcohol is very well concealed going down. Overall, it's a good wine. Fruity and smooth; a crowd pleaser. Nothing to complain about, but I would have liked a little more acidity and complexity perhaps. — 2 days ago
A toast to Rosemary Cakebread as we sit to watch season 4 of the CROWN, highlighting other incredible Trail Blazers - PM Thatcher, Queen Elizabeth II, and Diana. This cab can really go another 10 years plus, but enjoyable now with some decanting. cedar and tannins on the nose - casis and fruit on the palette. — 12 days ago

Dark ruby. A great Napa cab. Might like this one better than the ‘13 I had recently. Let it open up for half hour and nice blacks fruits come forward. Strong blackberry, with baking spices and vanilla, with balanced acidity and softened silky tannins. Drinking great now. — 3 days ago

Where to start? Ridiculously good says Elizabeth. Floral aromatics reminiscent of perfume dance you towards the mid palate extravaganza of flavors - Asian pear, fresh lychee, elegant tropical fruits that move towards mid palate of small elegant bubbles with a lovely full body; effortlessly sashaying into a long finish that keeps giving. This wine is at its peak. Glad we have more! — 23 days ago
Earthy complex and long. Love the old world feel and think this has even longer shelf life than I assumed. — 13 days ago
I know that this isn't a fancy super expensive wine, but if you are patient to cellar it it will open a door of perception, an insight on the Hunter Valley semillon, it could indeed be a textbook as an aged sample and descriptor of the category.
Lime jelly, macadamia, lanolin, lemongrass, mineral and the more you swirl the more it gives you all in perfect balance. An outstanding performer that very rarely disappoints.
