Typical nose of pineapple and petrol and some white flowers (elderberry). The palate is very long and acid driven with some yellow fruit notes and a delicate tanginess in the end. The finish is very long with the same notes and a tiny touch of spices. I had it along some home made egg fried rice with an extra dose of chili and the pairing was great! — 3 months ago
Big - lots of whole cluster - quite fruit driven. Just 24 cases made. 13%. This will need so much more time for the fruit to mellow out. Made in honor of Grahams daughter birthday. I hope she enjoys it once she is 16 ahem. I mean 21. Quite herbaceous now. Cardamom, elderberry, celery. Not necessarily my style but this could be quite nice in years to come - made to age! — 4 months ago
Very fruity, elderberry — 3 months ago
Trying it again. Different vintage. Cool tree on the label. Nice red wine color. Pretty in the glass. Smells like cut wood and rocks. Not fruit. Made a bit of incense too. Flavors are dry and dense. Herbal. Streak of berries. Like blackberry sauce in ice cream. Plenty of ink or elderberry stuff too. This is quite the difference from the Arg Malbec style. A hint of that coyote brush in the sun thing that I associate with southern France. Certainly a go to Malbec for my Malbec hater-ass. — 3 months ago
13.5%. 35% whole cluster. Very Burgundian in style. Herbaceous from the clusters, hint white pepper, very earthy, bark, big time elderberry, touch black cherry, dried black currants, quite tannic. Coiled. Needs to integrate. Very nicely done probably a benchmark Pinot for Oregon in 3-4 years. Highly recommended if you are getting out of Burghs. Congrats Lyle. — 5 months ago

This is a very enjoyable cab franc - more juicy and less herbaceous than many but still with crisp acidity, ripe tannins and very good structure. Blackberry, violet, tobacco leaf, elderberry, raspberry and wild strawberry. — a month ago
