2003 vintage tasted in Aug 2023. This wine was so incredibly enjoyable. Fruit still so ripe - black, red, and blue. Incredible soft dusty tannins have a great mouthfeel. Graphite, lead shaving, crushed rock. So we’ll integrated. Finish of 45s+. Loved it! — 8 months ago
Tasted alongside the 2015 vintage. Both wines were opened about eight hours in advanced and allowed to slow-ox at cellar temp (51°F). Comparatively, this was more open for business. Dark cherry, gym sock, dried herbs, leather, and tomato leaf on the nose. On the palate, dusty cherry fruit with black tea and dried herbs. Rustic. Quite an old school charmer! Towards the end of the bottle, this started to tighten back up a bit but it was still my favorite of the two vintages tonight. I expect this to enjoy a long life. — 3 years ago
We adored this wine. Lively and tense eight acidity depth and a peppery verve, it was amazing with a steakhouse dinner, but equally wonderful the second night with salad, cheese and a hearty bread. — 4 months ago
Cherries, raspberries, great tart fruit, spice on the finish, hints of vanilla and cocoa…. Still holding up well IMO! — 9 months ago
Another quite tasty covid wine - drank on the balcony on Sunday night with cheese and onion pie. — 4 years ago
Lanolin, citrus and citric acid. Only 11.5% ABV. From the excellent 2014 vintage in the Hunter Valley. A good Hunter Semillon without the intensity of their premium Semillon Cuvée, Lovedale. Very clean and fresh. I think its best days are in front of it when it should develop more complexity - toast and honey. Many recommended drinking windows are too short now that I’ve tasted it. — 7 months ago
