Delicious. Figs, currants, and dark cherries. — 6 months ago
You won’t find the quality of this wine under 10.00. But for the few bucks more, it’s absolutely delectable ! I love the bourbon hints with fruity notes, and a toasty oak finish! — 4 months ago

Before airing, nose was weird and furniture-like. But things normalized quickly. This is one of the more complex non-Ripasso Valpos out there (yes, I know it’s not officially DOC). Nose has bitter cherry, almond, tilled soil (almost like the smell of just-pulled carrots). Great balance, fruit and acid in abundance, soft mouthfeel, lighter weight. Tannins resolved. Bone dry. Finish is minerally and savory. Would work with a wide range of Italian food. I should note that the back label states that this was made in accordance with a 19th century traditional technique, including aging in chestnut and cherrywood barrels. — 3 years ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Aged in French oak (85% new) for 12 months, medium Ruby with aromas of red berry fruit, floral and herb spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and tart raspberry with smoky and pleasant earthy herb notes, wrapped in vivid acidity and nice mouthfeel. Fine chalky tannins, good balance, long finish ending with fruit, smoke and oak character. Nice. — 13 days ago
