L d'Or Granite Muscadet de Sèvre & Maine Melon de Bourgogne 2017

This seems simple at first sniff. Mineral nose. Then lemon, lime and kiwi berry on the palate. But the finish is so complex, long and satisfying. Lees aging here is brilliant. Another 5 years would be great. — a month ago

No more mackerel for us..... but damn yoshitomo.... you do not disappoint.
Started with a very citrus taste and finished bland. However maybe with the sushi it ends up quite pleasant.

Muscadet with weight and body. Citrus, minerals and salinity. Delicious with a more substantial seafood pair. — 4 months ago

Gula-Ana Muscadet Sèvre et Maine

Great white wine made of Melon de Bourgogne. Bought last year at the winery. They produce some great small cuvees which can be found on many wine lists in fine dining restaurants and I completely get that.
@Peter van den Besselaar thanks for sending me to this excellent wine maker!

Le 'L' d'Or Cuvée Médaillée Sur Lie Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine Melon de Bourgogne 2004

First bottle of this was corked...thank goodness I had backup! Typically excellent, nice combo of briny citrus and lees. Label could use more gold foil tho — 3 months ago

Beautiful deep golden amber color bordering on orange. Fragrant floral tropical fruits carrying through to Ann untuous sweet palate and long finish. Actually paired well with the mixed meats meal with chili chunks from Momofuku. AA14 — 7 months ago

Coteaux du Layon Chaume 1er Cru Chenin Blanc 2007

Vintage 2007 | My goodness. Chaume is such a privileged location. And happily... one that a lot of people do not know yet. Claude Papin is a top winegrower. Mahony colour. Deep mahony. A smell with figs and honey. Lavendel honey. Awesome balanced taste. A Chenin Blanc that belongs to the top of the world. | Paired with duck liver from Hofstede de Blaak — 8 months ago

Terre de Pierre Butte de la Roche Sur Lie Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine Melon de Bourgogne 2018

Nice and nervy. Quite crisp and pure. Linear. Lots of stones and minerals. Acid somewhat surprisingly less intense than I expected. Nice with an antipasto platter. — 9 months ago
