Domaine Des Malandes

Domaine des Malandes

Vau de Vey Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay 2021

It says Tremblay-Marchive, which I think is the estate where the fruit is from, but it’s made by Domaine des Malandes. Nose has classic seashelly limestone with a bit of brothiness. The citrusy fruit has a slight herbal edge. Crisp and balanced, though not especially deep. — 7 months ago

Fourchaume Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay 2019

Excellent Chablis - innocuous nose but nice big jolt of pear flavor in the middle and zero acidity at the back end. Perfectly straddles elegance with body. Probably best as a sipping Chablis served medium chilled - complements poultry well but turns more average later — 2 years ago

Fourchaume Vieilles Vignes Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay 2017

Deceitful Chablis; expected full bodied based on color and nose, but delightfully balanced and scallop complementary. Musky, mushroom, ocean water, and currant. — 4 years ago

Cuvée Tour du Roy Vieilles Vignes Chablis Chardonnay

Light and lovely, very easy to drink! No oakiness at all. — a year ago

Domaine Louis Michel

Forêts Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay

Note this is the LM Forets Chablis not the Montmain…purchased alongside the Fourchame Malandes a few months ago but not nearly as good - perfectly pleasant, pleasing lack of acidity on the back end but also unremarkable — 2 years ago

Delicious and a little non distinctive. Is Chablis losing its terroir with climate change? Larger question looming... — 3 years ago

To answer your question: yes, if the average temps stay where they appear to be in recent vintages or get higher.
