Cracked this on Friday before our Christmas party. Then it was drinking like a Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir.

Diving off into this bad boy this afternoon and it seems to have changed a bit. It's almost like the alcohol increased. It's coming in a little hot on the front end. Mellows out quickly though. It's got a super rich meaty sensation to it that finishes with a little vanilla dancing on the tongue. Good stuff. — 9 years ago

2020 vintage. Everything is great these days at Jaboulet (négoce wines and estate wines alike) and this Côte Rôtie is no exception. "Les Jumelles" (French for " twins" ) is a blend of Côte Blonde and Côte Brune. It is a terrific effort in a vintage that maintained impressive freshness in a very hot year. A beautiful nose with red and black fruits and flowers. It has depth and elegance, refined tannins and great length. Abv.14%. — 4 years ago

The one thing I liked about this offering from Outpost is part of the proceeds go to fight cancer. When you watch someone you love suffer from this terrible disease, it changes your life. In this case, it definitely has with the previous owners. Let’s hope the new Outpost owners (AXA) carry on this project as it was created. Only available through Outpost.

On the nose, butterscotch, lemon, lime, honey notes, overripe pineapple, green & golden apple, marzipan, pie crust, almonds, marmalade, vanilla, cream, and yellow flowers.

The palate is thick & round. Butterscotch, lemon, lime, honey notes, overripe pineapple, green & golden apple, marzipan, graham cracker, almond, marmalade, vanilla, cream, limestone minerals, saline and yellow flowers. The acidity is round & sound. The big, rich, elegant finish is quite nice.
