Lodi Cinsault 2020

Popped and poured; no formal notes. This vineyard was planted in 1886. Bright cherry and bruised strawberry fruits with some orange curaçao, espresso a light kiss of spices. Overall, there’s an impression of freshness that’s super attractive. Forget what you think you know about Lodi; wines like this flip the script. A lovely accompaniment with burgers on a summer night. Only 5 barrels produced. — 17 days ago

Domaine Gavoty

Grand Classique Côtes de Provence Rosé Grenache Cinsault 2021

Fun & fruity.

A bit more ripe fruit and body than expected in a classic Provence rosé, but I like it. Madame Gavoty blends in a few hours saignee rosé with direct press. Raspberry, strawberry, cherry, garrigue, wet limestone on the nose. Red fruits, orange zest, sour peach candy on the palate. Mineral sneaks back in on the finish.

Cinsault 2018

Preston Farm & Winery Cinsaut 2018: Medium-bodied. Great balance. Light tannins. Light acidity. Pomegranate. Strawberry. Cranberry. Spice. Earth. Soft oak. Dried fruit finish. A delicious, easy-drinking, single-varietal selection if you are looking for an alternative to Pinot Noir or Cabernet Sauvignon. What a beautifully crafted wine. Cheers🍷 — 15 days ago

Saint-Victor Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence Rosé 2021

Provence Rose’ Blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah. Pale pink color. Aromas and flavors of strawberry, red currant, orange zest, dried flowers. Hint of pepper spice on the finish. Extremely light bodied with very bright acidity. Fresh and lively. Totally thirst quenching. Thanks for sharing, Chris B. — 8 days ago

Les Pallieres Racines Grenache Blend 2016

Stewed fruit and red candy. Nice spicy notes. A dusty violet smell. Cherries. Also some cocoa, black licorice and woody tannins on the finish. Elegant overall, this shows an expressive, not overly modern approach. While I find myself wishing it was a touch less ripe and sweet, that is the style I suppose. — 5 days ago
