Superb expression of Cabernet-Franc in a very natural style with little or no added sulphites. All in fruit (red). Magnificent in consistency and roundness. So greedy. To drink from the aperitif. Super price / pleasure ratio
Superbe expression du Cabernet-Franc dans un style très nature avec pas ou peu d’apport de sulphites. Tout en fruit (rouges). Magnifique de cohérence et de rondeur. Très gourmand. A boire dès l’apéro. Super rapport prix/plaisir — 10 days ago
I’ve been anticipating my first #chinon taste. This wine started out tight - right after pouring you get a pronounced meaty nose which opens up to floral and subtle vegetal notes and laid back dark fruit. Plenty of acidity on the palate, reserved red fruit, leather, dried violets finishing with structured tannins. Fantastic wine to have with food, but also delicious by itself. — 3 days ago
Lovely! Lots of green apple one the nose and palate, pale straw in color. There is a touch of sweetness in the finish - a welcome balance to the forward tartness. Another refreshing Weygandt gem to close out summer! I have a penchant for tart, green apple heavy wines & will need few more bottles of this in my life. A stunner for me. — 15 days ago
Love the olive. This wine always has major Graves vibes. Sick nose of cassis, kirsch, tweed, old books, minerals and mashed violets. Palate is as expected very young but elegant, balanced and very pure. Awesome core of fruit and so juicy. Very refined. Terrific stuff. Needs 2-3 hours and 10 years but lovely to sip slowly tonight with a sirloin. Ripe but substantial tannins and just gorgeous purity. Terrific freshness. Really well made. — 16 days ago
Nose has chalkboard dust, mashed cherries, raspberry, ripe currant, oak bark, (minor) moist garden soil, milk chocolate bar and moist pipe tobacco.
Palate has crushed cherries, orange peel, ripe black currant, blackberry, graphite and medium tannins. Long finish, amazing bottle this evening.
About two years since our last bottle, doing very, very well this evening, can hold another 6-12Y (2026-32) in proper storage. — a month ago
