Bruised fruit and baking spices. An early fall treat! — a day ago
Black, brooding, dense. Yet fresh at the same time.
Dark plum, dusty cherry, black currant leaf, 95% chocolate, dark roast. But also fresh mint leaves, verbena, lemon juice.
On the palate this shows dense yet polished juicy tannins and a beautiful balance. Amazing purity of fruit, a savoury aroma spectrum, good length and grip.
A beauty that never disappoints. — 18 days ago
The 2020 Clos du Bourg Demi-Sec is starting to shake off the first days of its infancy but it has a long life ahead. It is akin to a cloud of Chenin, which fills the mouth with pure aromas reminiscent of freshly stewed apples and violets. The texture is finely woven and there’s acid to provide line through its balanced residual sugar. (Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, September 2022)

The bright acidity of Le Mont Demi-Sec really shows itself in 2020, producing a clean, racy style. There's a welcoming aspect to this wine with its 20 grams of residual sugar, but the flint in this vineyard keeps it strict and provides that taut line. It is super smart, balanced and really joyful now and will continue to provide pleasure for decades. Wait. Or don't. (Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, September 2022)

Floral in the front, pepper and spice in the back. Raspberries somewhere along the way that sustains to mineral and pepper. Florals diminish after about hour 1 and becomes a bit more fleshy and rounded with higher Minerality. Plush with a forward personality. — 10 days ago
