Some air time definitely helped. Dark chocolate started to show after decanted. Neighbor found this at Costco. Nice wine. — 5 months ago

Château Haut-Corbin

St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2000

Nice balance, good berries up front and pepper and a little leather. I felt it could have a little more depth. Ugo liked it more than me. Aged well. Nice treat. — 4 years ago

Château Corbin

St. Émilion Grand Cru Classé Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

It is time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday. Let's bring Merlot back!

Very pretty color of ruby with a wide reddish rim.

Fruity nose of black currants, cooked plums, light cedar, licorice, light vanilla, tobacco, chocolates and light black pepper.

Full-bodied with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and fruit forward on the palate with black currants, black plums, cherries, spices, chocolates, tobacco, herbs and light earth.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and cherries.

This is a delicious Merlot from Saint Emilion. Soft and elegant. Well balanced and rich. Spicy, and showing nice finesse.

This 8 year old will continue to age nicely in the next 7 to 10 years. Has good potential to become a 94+ point wine.

Fruit forward with nice complexity and a soft mouthfeel. A Merlot for the Cabernet Sauvignon lover.

A great sipping wine, that will also pair nicely with food.

A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Aged in (50% new) French Oak barrels for 18 months.

15% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$55.

Clairin le Rocher Pignon Rum 2018

Tied w the Sajouos for a favorite Clairin.
Perhaps a tad sweeter. Not quite as grassy as the Sajous,LLBut this is piddling.
Great, versatile stuff.
