13 years vintage to 9 years for the last time. Much deep, black currant, black berry and cherry. Concentrated. Spiciness. Enough tanning, on the way to be getting smooth. 2010 @1700, Xuheng - Eric T, 230218-230220 — 9 months ago

Big Red Bordeaux yet so approachable. A nice blend from one of my favorite houses - an almost toned down version due to the nice blend, mature red fruit and that trademark French soil sings through. You could live on just this and some cheese. — 5 years ago
2019 vintage. Previously known as Château Capbern Gasqueton, but after the death of the last Gasqueton, the estate was sold (together with Calon-Ségur) to the French insurance company Suravenir. This 2019 Saint-Estèphe features a dark red colour with a purplish rim and an attractive perfume of blackberry, cassis , slightly smoked cedar wood and a hint of pepper. Concentrated layered black fruit, with fresh acidity that perfectly balances the surprisingly high alcohol (15% abv.). Terrific value at around 20 euros. — 2 years ago

Purchased for my birthday-we share a birth year! And wholly dedicated to my grandfather who recently passed, and wanted to purchase this wine for me. The body is a clear, light ruby, with some bricking. The nose is very clean, pronounced and complex, bringing on notes of plum, raisin, blackberry, cherry, green pepper, mint, leather, and faint pipe tobacco. The palate has medium acidity, moderately integrated tannins, and flavours of cherry, plum, more pepper, herbs, and a finish of leather and olive.Brilliant wine! Drank 2017 — 12 days ago
