Château Malartic Lagravière

Château Malartic-Lagravière

Pessac-Léognan Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend 2008

Wow! Great white Bordeaux. A symphony of white fruit flavors that is just so complex. Ready to drink right out of the bottle. The palette just keeps changing throughout the sip, starting sweeter and fruitier and going drier but more intense. The nose is extraordinary: flowers in spring. A great experience. — 9 hours ago

Pessac Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

The nose shows mineral-infused red berry fruit with hints of sweet spice, wild herbs and rosy florals. On the palate, silky, caressing textures, nearly enveloped the 2015 Malartic Lagraviere's fine tannic structure, ushering in ripe red and blue fruits, contrasted by nervy acids creating a juicy yet tactile feel. The finish is long with a coating of tart wild berries slowly fading as hints of residual acids fizzle out, leaving a youthfully structured expression. — 2 years ago

Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

On the nose.... strawberry cheesecake with a cinnamon graham crust... Without sugar of course. On the palate, expressive red fruit, spices, cedar, vanilla, and mint with a beautiful mouth feel. Medium plus alcohol with medium plus tannins-that are already softened, super long finish. I have zero doubt that this wine will improve for at least a decade. Very cellar a case or more of this.

La Reserve de Malartic

Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 2014

Vintage 2014 This wine is very accessible and a great joy to drink. Cedar in smell, also laurel and pencil shaving. Very civilized. No tannins whatsoever, but red fruit. Velvety structure. Well made. With this kind of wines it is easy to let others ripen in the cellar. — 3 years ago

A bit more one dimensional but so smooth and delicious. Still prefer the malartic lagraviere — 6 years ago

Léognan Graves Red Bordeaux Blend 1949

I'd never heard of this before. Impressive. Amazing acid still to this day and decades to go if the fruit holds, which as of now is NOT a problem. — 7 years ago

La Reserve de Malartic

Le Sillage Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 2010

Second wine of Château Malartic-Lagravière. A blend of 50% cabernet sauvignon, 45% merlot and 5% cabernet franc. This has definitely some of the class of the grand vin and it is still very young at 10 years old. Cassis, cedar wood and Graves spiciness. Tightly structured serious wine with cassis and blueberry fruit in a frame of ripe tannin and very good spicy length. Terrific value at 23 euro for a 10 years old wine in a great vintage. No hurry to drink this, I feel there is still a lot of potential and I suspect it might benefit from another 5 years of cellaring. This is clearly an estate to watch ever since the Bonnie family took over. Abv. 14%. — 2 years ago
