Vacqueyras Red Rhone Blend 2017

Delectable Wine
9.1

This budget-friendly, expressive red from southern France conveys complexity well beyond its price, with rich bitter cherry, cassis, licorice, floral and herb character and a long, chewy, focused finish. $22.00 (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, February 2020) — 8 months ago

Olivier & Lafont - Côtes du Rhône Rouge. Very aromatic, long lasting taste with a fair amount of complexity. And altogether lovely one. — 5 months ago

Châteauneuf du Pape Blanc White Rhone Blend 2016

E’ molto interessante. A mia moglie piace molto. Sarebbe raro di trovare Chataunuf di pape blanc. Ha il corpo abbastanza, allo stesso tempo assagio l’accodita abbastanza. E equibilibrato. Ho avuto altri quattro bottelie. — 2 years ago

Pessac-Léognan Sauvignon Blanc 2007

WSET L3 course in progress, any corrections in my reading are welcome. Cheers!

👁 pale golden

👃clean, pronounced intensity, complex intense flavor of passion fruit, overripe lemon, honeysuckle with hint of vanilla toast and honey. This wine is fully developed.

👅Dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium(+) body. Pronounced intensity of passion fruit and ripe lemon, dried apple, cinnamon, nutmeg, brioche hint of kerosine. Long finish.

🎯 outstanding quality, can drink now but has potential for aging (should survive few more years)

Côte du Py Morgon Gamay 2017

Black fruit aromas but more red fruit and earthy flavors on the palate. A solid pick for $15. — 5 months ago

Châteauneuf du Pape Red Rhone Blend 2016

Leather, cinnamon, baking spices, tobacco, potting soil, chopped firewood.

Black pepper and blackberries. Cigar smoke, cinnamon. Beautifully spicy. Sandalwood.

I also taste slight seaweed, but maybe that’s because I just had toro handrolls at Sugarfish 😂.

🍣 🍷 🙌🏽

Also, fennel and balsamic. After a couple hours of rest, this wine really opened up. I started to love it.
