Château de la Gardine

Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Cuvée Tradition 2013

One of the few white Rhône’s I’ve really liked. Doesn’t have the acid I tend to look for in whites but the difference is appreciated - quite floral and white fruited and with good body. — 3 months ago

Châteauneuf-du-Pape White Rhône Blend 2013

Nice rhone white. Better than the last bottle we had. Some tropical fruits. Nice balance and body and mouthfeel. Acid slightly lower but still a refined finish. — a year ago

Côtes du Rhône Villages Red Rhone Blend 1970

1970 Vintage amazing this wine is 49 year old and still good! From the bottom of the cellar, the cork was leaking a little so we opened it! Had it in June 2019 with friends who visit Chateau la Gardine every year — 4 years ago

Cuvée des Generations Gaston Philippe Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2017

Excellent paired with French cheeses ( Fourme d’Ambert, pavé de brebis, fromages de chèvre de Normandie et d’Anjou). Had the 2017 vintage in July 2023. — 4 months ago

Château de la Gardine

Rasteau Red Rhône Blend 2016

2016 vintage. A blend of Grenache (75%) and Syrah. Full-bodied and spicy with soft tannin and remarkably fresh. Long peppery finish. A good introduction to the more famous Chateauneuf-du-Pape wines from this estate at about half the price. Abv. 14%. — 3 years ago

Brunel De La Gardine

Lirac Grenache 2018

Nice grenache nose with blackberry notes along with garigue and tapenade touches. This is simple yet very inviting. The palate is very well made with a very strong acid backbone, a nice blackberry note all along, somehow a milky mouthfeel, a powerhouse of a midpalate with a good grip and a very long finish with fruit and that grip, along with a tiny bitter touch. This is simple but very well made. More of this!! — 3 years ago
