Blend of 76% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruit, spice and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry fruits, baking spices and earthy notes. Fine tannins, opened nicely, long finish ending with notes of berry fruits espresso, vanilla and earthy spice. Nice, will age well!! — 17 days ago
First time trying this Merlot. Dark ruby. Slightly floral, dark red/black fruit, oak, vanilla. Really nicely structured, all the pieces fit really nicely. Could still use a few years to soften these dense chewy tannins, but I bet will be nice after time in the glass. Dark plum, blackberry cobbler, oak, spices. Really drinks very nicely. Nice thick mouthfeel with a good med-long finish. — 2 days ago

Consistent favorite, nothing else quite tastes like this. — 23 days ago
Picture is of 2019 but we actually had 12, which is in a good place right now.
Mayacamas consistently makes one of my favorite Merlots.
Those intense mountain tannins (yes, even for Merlot!!!) have mellowed out. Such vibrant and pure fruit (dark cherry) balanced by dried herb/balsamic/meaty qualities that are just starting to develop along with a pleasant, fragrant cedar/resin /piney note.

Tree Kilpatrick
This is the Monterey Merlot. Plain as plain can be label design. Ruby red with just a hint of rusty color. Flavors are tangy, juicy and complex. This is CA Merlot like it can be made well. Leather, mulberry and just the lightest touch of sweet black licorice. — 13 days ago
