Very special Monte Bello, best I’ve had, rich and layered with age, nose was redolent of old leather and soft spice, smokey red fruit. Silk on the palate. Finish never ended. Superb. Could go a few more years easily but cork (not the one pictured) required the Durand so likely drink soon. — a day ago
Trots förvarningar poppade jag denna som nog borde legat orörd minst tio år till. Inte helt drickmogen men redan nu ger den en hel del. Riktigt härlig doft. Fyllig, koncentrerad med gamla världen-elegans. Vinbär, blyerts, exotiska kryddor, tobak, kaffe osv. Riktigt lång avslut. Värd att återbesöka, som förvarnat. Värd 1800 kr = inte än på några år. — 10 days ago

maybe it's too juicy for my own taste. — 6 days ago
Mild aromas of oak, opaque purple, forward tannins with dark fruit and dry finish. Nice — a day ago
Pale lemon with aromas of citrus and tropical fruit with floral notes. On the palate flavors of grapefruit, green apple and pear fruit flavors with some grassy tones, lively acidity. Medium+ finish ending with fruit, herbal, floral, grassy and mineral notes. Lightly chill so you can experience all of the nuances while you sip this fine wine. — 15 days ago
Just revisited 2016, glad I knew to hold onto a bottle. With holding a year or so, obtained at tasting room pre-lockdown, the wine has pleasantly evolved in the directions I was hoping.
Color has gone from clear/green to lemon yellow, floral notes on the nose, with jasmine green tea, honey, white grapefruit pith on the palette.
Delighted to witness the evolution. Expand plantings, good job Tommy Jr.. More please.
