Bastia San Michele

La Marca di San Michele

CapoVolto Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore 2018

With each bottle, I enjoy these that much more. This has the crisp character of a seaside wine, but also the power & detail of honeyed peaches. It brings the delight & beautiful, approachable fruit but is wonderfully balanced with fresh acid. One to watch as it comes from 15 year old vines. This bottling will continue to show more and more with each vintage. Beautiful. — 15 days ago

Tenuta San Michele

Murgo Etna Rosso Sicilia IGT Nerello Mascalese Nerello Cappuccio

Sour cherries, crushed rocks, mulderberry. Fuller body than other Etnas but this was good juice and nice QPR. — 6 months ago

Chianti Sangiovese 2018

Hyvä! ! Hapokas, voimakkaat tanniinit ja aromikkaan keskitäyteläinen. Chiantimainen tuoksu, pitkä jälkivaikutelma. — 6 months ago

San Michele Roero Arneis 1953

It is getting there. Earlier on it was too fresh youn wild. Now a lot more full bodied bitters, Nice acids that supports all firm flavours. — a month ago

Cascina San Michele

Primevi Barbera d'Asti 2017

Tonight it showed excellent, just so good (actually this bottle was way better in shape than the 2016 I had a few months ago).
Typical and racy.
Paired with a traditional Cotoletta alla milanese out of a grass fed veal rib.

Ca' Rugate

San Michele Soave Classico Garganega 2018

ESF
9.0

Along w/ Pra & Pieropan - the royalty of Soave. Ca’Rugate also make fantastic reds. Their wines always technically correct and strike the proper balance of extraction & finesse. This was no different: floral and citrus, vein of minerality, suave acidic backbone, delicious finish. — 6 months ago
