The 19’ is the first vintage release under new ownership, which tries to establish a new branding for Cult. Not sure it’s because of the lawsuits or pure marketing decision.
I have not tasted prior vintages, which costs well over $100 under the Beau Vigne brand. The 19’ costs $30, at which is a very good value IMO.
Full body, rich and delicious as expected. A bit more extracted than I would like, but overall there is the sense of balance.
I would buy again if it’s still around $30.

👃Lovely perfumed fruit. High toned. Sweet with a candied edge. Cherry liquer and mint
👅More restrained than the nose. Fruit is also darker. Somewhat closed and not giving up too much. Med acidity. Tannins have astringency

Remaining wine Slow Decanted in my refrigerator

DAY11
👃Very floral and sweet red fruits. Blood orange, medicinal herbs and mint
👅Floral and sweet,mostly red fruit. Wood/hay and earth. Mild tannins

Slow Decanting helped this improve some on DAY11 but this still needs a few years of bottle ago to reveal itself and improve its precision, which I expect it to do 🍷

@Pinotman /// Andreas This is a wine I buy in most vintages because I really like it. The 2016 just needs a little time to come together. Slow Decanting will often allow wines to slowly open up and that hapened some, but this just needs a couple more years to excel 🍷
