“Village Meursault ? Roulot? I’m told no, not even French, 🤔. American😳? Yes. Oregon ? Yes. That is as far as I got. Please take it out of the bag. Reductive nose but a laser like focus in the mouth . A taser like finish of citrus . Will purchase a bottle just to see what this becomes in 5-8 years. — 7 days ago
Red fruit in spades. Smokey and charred fruit on the nose along with cinnamon and mulled spiced. Tart cherry, raspberry, cranberry, and cooked strawberry on the palate with earthy minerals and a hint of mint. Runs a bit hot, but solid acid in the finish. — 16 days ago
Throwback for me. As Zin was my go to grape in the 90s, the single vineyard Ravenswood wines were my favorites! I visited in 1999/2000ish and drank from the barrels.
900 cases made, this has a bold blueberry and black pepper nose, mint adds on the palate, a bit more mellow than I remember it, which is great for my older taste. Medium plus body, medium tannins.

Always a treat to try a Bell Hill Pinot Noir. Quite light in colour. Wonderful florals of violet, roses and a stalky whole bunch note - a nose reminiscent of Vosne Romanee. A light to medium weight palate showing more body than the colour would indicate. Strong Sous Bois character with red fruits and great persistence. I have very few wines from Canterbury NZ but on this showing, should have more. This is Bell Hill’s 2nd ranked Cuvée. I have a few bottles of their 1st ranked Cuvée but they need more cellar time before popping the cork, as does this Old Weka Pass 2016. A great Pinot with further potential. — 17 hours ago
