Dense and masculine. Broad white thick fruit. Nice rounded edges. Lacks a little of the complexity of the 67 and 64 but good solid fruit. — 2 months ago
2018 vintage. Every sip is a wow. Perfect tannins. It’s the bottle you finish way too fast because it’s way too delicious. — 8 months ago
Hard to describe though my first impression was of dusty flowers. Still vibrant with a decent finish. — 18 days ago
A great nose. Madeira, figs, dried apricot. Great subtle mouthfeel with a complex, aged midpalate. With air hints of fresh rose and light cherry peer through. Very composed and improving in the glass. Very good — 2 months ago
Drinking the 2016 in 2024. Very similar to a Pinot Noir. Light bouquet, with red fruit notes. Light smooth flavors with a lightly tannic finish. — 4 months ago
The color of weak coffee with some bottle of the bottom gunk. Va on the nose and light notes of roses and dried fruit. On the palate very pure and lifted. Obviously aged but softening with air and bright and pretty. What a surprise given it’s a centurion. — 2 months ago
A great Barolo with energy for days. Nose is heavenly spices, tar, roses, oolong tea and dried leaves. Gorgeous nose. 9.7 nose. Palate has so much energy and depth. Perfectly ripe cherries and terrific complex minerals and sauce, ripe tannins. Unreal purity and length. An outstanding wine. — 8 months ago
"Odedi"
Ruby/ brick in color with medium intensity.
Strong nose of red fruits with earth, light vegetables, light wood, tobacco and chocolate notes.
Medium bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with raspberries, cherries, spices, peppercorn, light wood, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, earth and light vegetables.
Tangy finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 5 year old Barolo from the famous Canubi Vineyard is still a little rigid right now, but already enjoyable. Showing nice complexity with a nice mouthfeel.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 20 years, with good potential to become a 94+ point wine.
Wine Advocate 93 points.
Very tasty and a good food wine that will pair nicely with a big piece of steak.
100% Nebbiolo grapes were only 20% destemmed. Aged for 3 years in large Slavonian oak barrels.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
