Beautiful bottle! More savory aromatics and layers of flavor. Great way to end a perfect evening. #chiaraboschis — a month ago
Beautiful wine from a very mixed vintage. Still, needed a double decant ( splashed on the label!) and time to come together and fill out. — 4 months ago
Barbera d'asti - so much big fruit primary character it really is the antitheses of it's nebbiolo neighbors, or the rest of Italy's wines for that matter!
This one is a pleasure to drink on any occasion — 22 days ago
The 2020 Sauvignon Blanc Serena Palazzolo e Figli is very easy to like. Both spicy and intense, with smoky crushed stone giving way to musky peach and hints of confectionery spice. This washes across the palate, with round yet juicy textures delivering ripe orchard fruits and hints of candied lime. Its stimulating minerality and sour citrus add poise, yet not so much to slow its momentum, as the 2020 finishes long and wickedly fresh. This would make a great gateway wine for lovers of Sauvignon looking to explore Friuli. The Serena Palazzolo e Figli is a blend of fruit from throughout the Ronco del Gnemiz vineyards. Its minerality and sour citrus character keep the experience engaging to say the least. (Eric Guido, Vinous, April 2022)

Popped and poured. The 2015 Brezza “Cannubi” pours a medium garnet with a largely transparent core and very faint stain of a tears. On the nose, the wine is intense, redolent with roses, cherries, pomegranate, damp basement, some tar and dried herbs. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the cherry fruit which again, is quite generous accompanied by licorice, and a thing hanging out way in the back that reminded me a bit of cooked spinach? It sounds worse than it is…but it’s a thing. The finish is long and savory. Pretty tasty stuff. Drink over the next 10-15 years. — 4 months ago
This afternoon at a late lunch we were served the 2011 Giacomo Borgogno & Figli Barolo.
In the nose there was cherry, strawberry, plum, licorice, dried roses, spice, tar, ckay pot and dusty earth.
On the palate there was strawberry, cherry, raspberry, red currant, anise, spice, leather and earth.
This wine is full bodied with a smooth velvety mouthfeel medium + acidity and medium + grippy mouthcoating tannins that seemlessly move to a long red and dark fruit dusty earth finish. Definitely a nice bottle of wine and would gladly have this bottle again. We have had hot weather this week which has broke us out of the 40 and 50 degree weather. It has been definitely needed and seems to have woken everyone out of their winter malaise. I wish everyone a wonderful weekend. Please stay safe and healthy, Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — a month ago

Really easy. Blackberry, strawberry. Little tannic, nice acid and a bit of tobacco. — a day ago
