1995 vintage. Light-medium body. Opened but not decanted. High neck fill. Solid cork. Relatively light sed. Tasted after one hour. Dusty with velveteen notes up front and a gradual thinning of intensity on the finish. As per the LR style, no explosive characteristics, only a seamless quality evident. This will hold in place for 7-8 years. 8.16.24. — 5 months ago
Still medium ruby with quite narrow garnet pink rim . Quite high toned on those nose , just a touch of volatility, and showing quite a lot of the ripeness with dried blackberry and blackcurrant , grafite , tobacco , soy. Quite dense on the palate with more of the ripe , slightly dried fruits , currants , with touches of cedar , sweet tobacco , coffee , undergrowth and grafite . Quite sweet on the palate , with balanced acidity and slightly drying , pinched tannins , but quite decent length . This is probably at peak now but can be enjoyed over the next 5-8 years I would imagine , overall quite successful . — a year ago
A nicely-balanced Bordeaux-style; 79% Cab Sauv., 8% Petit Verdot, 7% Malbec, 6% Merlot. Deep, intense and concentrated, pleasant herbal and dark berries aromas, some spice notes, great coating and rounded tannins, silky finish, persistent aromas of cacao and espresso. A truly gem from Pritchard Hill, Napa. — a month ago
Medium deep ruby , medium wide ruby rim. Slightly more generously fruited , compared to the 2011 . Blackcurrant , cassis, touches of spice , less austere or mineral . Quite round and ripe , rich on the mid palate , but without a lot of tannic structure , balanced acidity. Decent length , with a touch more tobacco and saline quality on the finish. This is drinking well now and will continue to show well over the next 8-10 years or so — 8 months ago
Pretty closed nose , a little bit funky, touch of sous bois . On the palate better , with touches of sous bois , cassis, good roundness , then a bit foursquare and dry on the finish, ok acidity , slightly bitter tannins . Not the best bottle of this . From past experience benefits from time in the glass , at peak , drink from now over the next 5-8 years . — a year ago
Cherry, Raspberry, strawberry aromas with a touch of sage. Red cherries on the palate with a medium tannins. I think will benefit from a bit more cellar time. — 8 months ago
