Not sure there are better 13 whites than Raveneau. Lafon also comes to mind. It’s an early drinking vintage (by Raveneau standards) while you wait for 12 and 14. Also, no Chapelot this year so it’s blended in here. A multi hour advance decant has it rocking, stunningly aromatic, soaring with layers of créme fraîche, baking spice, crushed stones and a whisper of botrytis influenced saffron. The palate shows immense power, concentration and depth of waxy yellow fruit chiseled with Chablisen minerality. Brilliant tension and racy lemony acids provide a seamless balance to its power and richness. MDT always hits 🫰🏻 — 8 months ago
Lauer Riesling brings the heat as expected. Acidic and aromatic, would pair well with something spicy or even fried. — a month ago
Sometimes no other wine will do for me than old-style (13% ABV) Bordeaux, and this lovely medium-aged Pauillac absolutely fills the bill, redfruits, structured but not really tannic, great acid balance really lifts the fruit, not a blockbuster, but very fine nonetheless, I could drink a lot of this!! — a year ago
Crisp Mosel Riesling. The way dry Riesling should be. — a month ago
They say the best Sauvignon Blanc are made in New Zealand. This wine proves them right. This wine is definitely above average. Properly chilled is a wonderful complement to any meal. Highly recommend — 4 months ago
