Smells of bright cherry, raspberry, dried strawberry and violets. Raspberry, plum and light cranberry with thyme and roses on the palate. Touch of anise, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger snap, but all pulled together by the fruit and a layer of saffron-apple. Uniquely delightful. Had with Sashimi, and wasabi to cut the fog, so held its own. #sojourncellars #russianrivervalley #russianriverpinot #rrv #sonoma #pinotnoir #pn

Dark fruit aromas with tea and spice notes. On the palate complex layered flavors of cherry, blueberry and raspberry flavors with a touch of cacao and smoky nuttiness. Firm yet supple tannins, rich and savory with great mouthfeel on a lingering finish ending with some earthy tones. Nice!

Dark cherries with a hint of earth and cola--had a mushroom thing going when it was first opened. Delicious!

Very ripe, jammy even. Raspberry preserves. The acid feels clunky and not integrated into what the wine wants to be. Still, for a hedonistic Pinot, this is tasty.

Superb for their "entry level" pinot, lovely dark red fruit, silky and elegant!

Solid Pinot - beautiful cherry notes on the nose - fades a bit on the palate which feels slightly wooden/restrained. But could just as easily be a 9.9 if I were in a mood for something more austere

Fresh red fruit and exotic wood flavors. Spicier than cedar but not mouth numbing. Some Santa Maria Pinot noir‘s can be very herbaceous but this one expresses what the Russian River Valley is known for, at least in my opinion, a more ripe and delicate fruit forward palette.
