Vin Doux Naturel Banyuls Grenache Blend

Warm palate but not too hot for a dessert red. Think dried figs and cherries, maybe a bit of robutussin (but in a good way).

Grenache based, tawny Port-like notes of fig, raisin, nuts, and syrup.

Inca berry, sour cherry, dried cranberry, dried fig, cough syrup and baking spice.

(**) black raspberry liquer poured over crystalized ginger and Smith Bros cough drops; paired magnificently with cookies and cream ice cream.

My first VDN. Very raisiny.

Nice first try of this French dessert wine.

Intense port-like flavors; jam, figs, berries, rich, round, unctuous

Pretty restrained for a dessert wine. Not overly sweet, a strong, pleasant stewed fruit note. Excellent at $22. Dena and Dan's, bottle #2.

Absolutely lovely sweet red. Easy drinking and doesn't coat the tongue like a lot of dessert wines do

Seriously so good. Made by a renowned winemaker. Another reviewer mentioned stewed berries and I think she is on point. Dense and sweet. I got two bottles so we could have it again :-)
