Reserva Alentejo Antão Vaz Blend
Rich and layered, this Alentejo white is a gorgeous, full-bodied wine whose ripeness and purity of fruit is balanced by fresh lime acidity, vanilla undertones and a streak of spiciness. Good length. Very good stuff.

Jun 15th, 2020This is the Kind of wine I fell in love with last summer. Golden hue, medium bodied, rich, tons of acidity and pear apple flavor. How can they do that in the middle of Portugal?

Oct 16th, 2017Really easy to drink. Blend of Antão Vaz, Arinto, Roupeiro, and oddly enough Semillon. Lots of flavor and good acidity. Went well with our Thai dinner and still drinks great afterward. I will want this again!

4 people found it helpfulJan 12th, 2014This masterful white wine features indigenous Portuguese grapes - Antão Vaz, Arinto and Roupeiro - with a bit of Semillon, which the winemaker says is a tip of the hat to his Australian heritage. Alcohol is at 14% - "Higher than I like," says David Baverstock, "but that is what the grapes want to do." Forty percent of the wine saw oak for six months, on the lees. It is a great oak treatment, with lovely acidity and citrus all over the place. A savory edge of salinity makes this wine irresistible.
