Exceptionable food and even better wine. Dinner of champions!!!

Strange bottle, aggressive acidity in the nose and then almost flat taste.

Rose petal, dried raspberry and strawberry nose, persimmon remnants, bing cherry, roobios and black teas. Cranberry-apple afterthoughts. Bright and young with juicy attitude. Cranberry and tart cherry entry, rose, tar and smoky jerky. Plums and sage with grape leaf. Waiting for full opening.

Physically Distanced 🚧 but Socially Close 🤗 dinner, following the reasonable NY State dining regulations.

Full bodied, raspberries, rose petals, approachable now but could use a good 10 more years to show full potential.

Wound tight at this point. Needs some time. Fresh Cremini mushroom, under ripe wild cherry, green briars, and some silver metallics.

From the (at least for me) dreaded/underripe 2004-vintage you still have to be humbled when someone pops a Ponsot.

Tasty but young.. from a 1.5

Noticeable raspberry aromas. Almost not like a Burgundy but a beautiful wine nonetheless. Restrained and balanced yet with a long future- the beguiling nature of Burgundy. This was the 9th and final wine in the Gevrey Chambertin bracket.
