Blend of Merlot with 5% Carmenere and 5% Petit Verdot. Deep Ruby with aromas of red berry fruits, floral and spice notes. On the palate flavors of ripe cherry and raspberry with dried flower and baking spice. Fine tannins on medium finish ending with a fruit character, good to drink now!

Kirsch-y chocolate, wet violets, espresso, star anise, Saigon cinnamon, seared steak on butter, broken stick cinnamon, biomass is rain, and baked cinnamon apple smells. Subdued in comparison to its nose, the earthy and herbaceous entry features smoky soils, marinated mushroom, dusty oak, dried bing cherry, cranberry sharpness, black olive, date, and dried black currant. Lightest burnt rosemary almost refutes mention.

2015 vintage. Owned by the Vauthier family (Ausone, Moulin Saint Georges and La Clotte). A blend of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and interestingly 5% Carnenere and 5% Petit Verdot. Seriously reduced, I wildly double-decanted the wine, and struggled with the nose for over an hour before it finally started to shine. My patience was rewarded as the beast miraculously turned into some kind of a beauty. Ripe red fruit, violets and a mineral touch.

Definitely a classic Bordeaux. Still developing. Bing cherry. Black fruit.

Classic Bordeaux structure, taste and feel, with some lovely notes of violet, wet stone and purple fruit. Still somewhat austere and tannic. But developing nicely. The bouquet opens quite a bit after about an hour. Will probably peak in a few years.
