Grange le Duc Bourgogne Passetoutgrains Gamay Pinot Noir

Popped and poured; no formal notes. The 2020 “Grange le Duc” has some real Volnay sensibilities with lovely, elegant fruit and forest floor with a taut structure. This responded very well to air and I expect this will flesh out with some cellar time. Drinking well now with some patience and will continue to do so through 2030.

Funky, crunchy, and yummy. A great wine to have with food.

Lean, acid driven and simple. Would like a bit more of the lifted aromatics from the gamay.

Raspberry hard candy, gaminess on the nose / ripe raspberry / juicy with earthy components

Massively reduced. Two days’ aeration didn’t help much. Quality juice underneath the sulfur: cranberry, plum, rhubarb...but the SO2 remains prominent in the scratchy, drying finish. #passetoutgrain

structurally hits all the right notes, but ultimately the fruit is unbalanced from the acid.

Need some time to open up. Very good nice nose of purple flowers and fruit. Great acidity and balance
