@Paul T- Huntington Beach I’ll reference you my notes on this one somewhere between 10–15 years in bottle. I’m sure me & my therapist will have worked it out by then.

We've always had problems with the wines tasting corky (even under screw cap) this was a very pleasant surprise

Reserve Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

Rats! I did it again. Opened another bottle of this and didn't realize already had it. #firstworldproblems
I've got to start tracking the ole cellar better than by mental notes. It's gotten too big. Anyway....
Always encouraging when you find out your tasting notes are consistent. Blackberry, currant and mocha in ample quantities, ending with gravelly notes. A silky, seductive finish. Hits all the right notes.

Chappellet

Mountain Cuvée Proprietor's Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2014

Ron R
9.2

Very impressed with Chappellet, up and down their portfolio. The nose is powerful with Bing cherries and rose petals. On the palette, the wine presents like a reduction. Sweet notes of a balsamic reduction, light maple and black fruits. Aggressive tannins provide a rock-like structure. This bad boy has the stuffing for cellaring.
I've under clubbed the score for no good reason...

@Ron R Have you tried chappalet cultivation? I heard good things so I bought a case of it and a case of their zin from the winery

Hello @Adam Greenberg, I've never heard of cultivation. Clearly, I need to get on wine-searcher and check it out. As for the Zin, the only Zin I've found that I enjoy is Ridge, and I think it is because they blend most of them. Going to get more if the mountain cuvée. It's so good right now and at $23... Thanks for the feedback, Adam.

Caves Saint-Pierre

Le Fiacre du Pape Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2013

Oops. Just recently rated this. #firstworldproblems. Oozes secondary flavors of roasted meat and mushroom. A lot of barnyard on the nose. One of my go-to wines thanks to one Steve Haro, and one of the best values on the market hands down. — 7 years ago

Château de Beaucastel

Hommage à Jacques Perrin Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 1995

Underwhelmed exceedingly high expectations..... Perhaps it was the vintage?! Lacked the concentration or focus of the best versions of this. That said, still beautiful wine, especially w/rack of lamb #firstworldproblems — 9 years ago
