Château Poujeaux

Moulis en Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2019

I really enjoyed this wine. Gave it lots of air as 2019 is really too young and this improved it immensely. Typical Bordeaux nose with lots of fruit. Balanced and moreish without being overcomplicated. — a month ago

This is a producer bottling that over-delivers in good vintage with the appropriate aging.

Agree 100% with @David T - I had bottles of 1982 and 1986 that easily lasted 15+ years from vintage!!

Château d'Yquem

Sauternes Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend 1997

Love this vintage for Yquem, one of my favorites in this time period along with 88, 90 and 01. Halfsie tonight to pair with the foie gras and then dessert! Nectar of the gods 😚 — a month ago

Krug

Vintage Brut Champagne Blend 2004

Medium yellow , gold reflexes . Nice yellow fruits , with buttered pastry , mushroom richness , mineral hints . On the palate quite intense with orange peel, lemon notes , buttered pastry , quite intense mineral , chalky hints , high acidity . Good length with and toasty almonds and vanilla tinge . This is still showing quite young and fresh , and is enjoyable to drink now . From now over the next 10 years — a month ago

Château Cantemerle

Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 1949

What a special treat. First time trying a post WWII 1949 Bordeaux. Color is a cloudy tawny port. Nose - red fruit, currants, wet musky soil, herbaceous and a hint of mint. Taste - ripen plum-strawberry, dried herbs, old worn leather and baking spice with a short medium finish. Making history in my wine tasting experience. — a month ago

Surely you meant Bordeaux directly post-WWII. Unless you have exclusively only been drinking wartime and pre-war Bordeaux in which case, please invite me! 😅
