Nice Naoki! Well done and well deserved after your race. I’m in June running up Alpe d’ Huez and you inspired me to put a great bottle of champagne in my suitcase🥂💪🏃

Tenuta Il Poggione

Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2017

Quite deep ruby with medium wide ruby rim . Nice spicy cherry , strawberry jam, fresh cut herbs , sweet anis . On the palate nice density and roundness though with good balancing acidity , those spiced cherries again , rosemary , thyme and anis . Good length on the spice tinged finish, the tannins are noticeable though quite well rounded , alcohol is just noticeable , but there is balance here in a rounded generous style of Brunello. This is enjoyable now with time in the glass though will surely age well for at least a further 10 -15 years . — 2 years ago

Bodega Chacra

Barda Patagonia Pinot Noir 2021

Get some of that clean wet forest floor on the nose, cherry, rose petals, and hints of cedar. The palate is delicate with more cherry, soft round tannins, nice minerality and earthyness, medium acidity, medium alcohol, medium finish. This is “like the third growth” from Chacra in Patagonia, made in an old world style… Quality is surprisingly good. PS Barda is the closest Spanish equivalent to clos in French; homage to the stone enclosures in Burgundy… Cheers! — 2 years ago

Pure Paso Proprietary Red Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2020

This wine is very dark. It has a nose which connotes darkness as well. Aromas of black cherry lead the way with coffee notes - mocha and espresso - tagging along. The chalkiness which I find to be a hallmark of Paso Cabernet is there, although more subdued than it typically is. On the palate, that chalky atmosphere stops hiding. It is draped over black fruit with a meaty sensibility and a smoky backbeat. — 2 years ago

Linda Vista Vineyard Chardonnay 2021

Smooth, creamy, with no oak taste, hint of lemon and grapefruit, light enough to drink on its own, strong enough to pair with charcoal-flavored vegetables and meat. — 2 years ago

Smooth chocolate cherries with a burn that makes me want to order a million bottles. What a wine. Great wine, great memories. Mind you this is the baby version, no way you will notice. — 2 years ago
