The 16 vintage is a stunner. Presents butterscotch, hay, figs and hazelnuts on the nose. Palate is dominated with overripe lychees. The oak is in the foreground, and with cellaring, should fall back. Acids are soft and combine with the oak to give a lush, rounded texture. This goes toe-to-toe with Aubert, and holds it own.
Powder room update - With the plumber dispatched, I worked with my tiling guy to bring this home. It’s an unusual sink, so wanted to show you how it works. The water needs to hit perpendicular to the stone, then, it works like a charm.

To my recollection I’ve only had Tapestry once and it was years ago. Circling back on it last night was a treat because it reminded me why I liked it all those years ago. Very approachable but also teetering on being a pretty serious blend with ripe red & black fruits, Christmas baking spices, anise, all with a dense and savory character. — 6 years ago
I know Lyle Fass the importer will roast me at the stake for popping this so soon. A little darker than in the past. Classic E&M - the consistency from year to year is just ridiculous. Mountain meadows with thyme and gentian on the nose. In the glass elderberry , orange 🍊 zest, hint of tart underripe strawberry - lovely acidity. Needs to settle down. This is once again!!! the best Rose money can buy right now. How this winery does this beats me. Unfortunately not widely available if at all outside of the FASS email list. — 6 years ago
Opened a gift we received for our daughter’s birth on her third birthday with the fam. QPR not great most likely but this champagne drank really well good intensity on the attack of some candied apple and honey lemon on the finish, rounding out nicely. — 6 years ago
Very bright. Vivid fruit with lime, slate, honey, acacia. Very poised and dazzling. Great balance and long. Excellent. — 6 years ago
