What a nose! — 2 months ago
One of the best 2020 GS blends from Paso tasted so far; also one of the best I’ve tasted from this winemaker. Fantastic fruit flavors, fine textured tannin, and seamless mid-palate. It’s in a great spot right now but suspect those tannins will resolve even more with added complexity developing over the next 5-10 years — a month ago
at its peak…great balance with tannins in a perfect state to still hold up to bbq tri-tip — 6 months ago
Fruit juicy goodness. Dark, inky purple and nice acid/black fruit balance. Blackberry, goose berry, boysenberry...plenty of fruit but lively in the mouth and remarkably light on its feet. Round, soft tannins escort the wine on its finish. I used to recommend Cabernet to accompany that crusty, juicy medium rare filet... but this makes a brilliant case for carignan from a good producer and old vines. — 3 years ago
An old favorite from the Ballard Canyon. Fresh and bright early on. Smooth and layered as it opens up. — a month ago
Very well done. Although a big wine, not overpowering. Sweet, smoky blueberries with a wild touch. Nice savory notes. Young now but has great potential. — 2 months ago
Wow. This was an absolutely stunning btl of Syrah. On the nose: violets, olive brine, bacon, soft vanilla cream, blackberry, dried blackberry, soft leather...amazing complexity. On the palate: fantastic acidity and density, pure syrah fruit, and very soft tannin on the finish. — 3 years ago

Beautiful. Lighter in body than expected and possibly would’ve shown better a year or so ago but beautiful, nonetheless. — 14 hours ago
