Very nice. Silent, quick finish. — 3 years ago

Another “should have decanted” bottle. Started off a bit funky but blew off after awhile. Won this as part of a lot at the silent auction at the Napa Valley Wine Auction several years ago. — 6 years ago
I won this at a silent auction, it was good! — 6 years ago
Lights out from random storm in Dallas...SBD dropped this silent but deadly bottle on us...was awesome — 7 years ago
Vintage 2010 | last year our Brabantse Wine Society wine friends @Eric Hoepelman @Willem Jan Withagen @Rob van Kalmthout @Martijn went to the worldchampionship blindtasting and visited Mouton R. This year they are so kind to share experiences with @Berry Marinussen @Liselotte Brouwers Maarten Drop and myself who will attend this year in Jura. This was one of the beautiful wines in the line up — 10 months ago

I love good wine and don’t mind paying for it if it is truly exquisite. This one didn’t meet that expectation. Medium body with a nice finish but it lapsed in the middle when it almost went silent. Had hoped it would express more over time but after about 2 hours it fell flat. Oh well, win some, lose some. — 5 years ago
Although often decent - I found that little red village Burgundies possess the unique elements of their superstar siblings. This one did - albeit in subtle hints, like the silent yet essential intro to a full blown concerto. This was very very good, yet most of all it made me long for a “normal” New Year’s Eve. — 6 years ago
Vintage 2016 / Reliable producer makes a crisp and fine Gewürztraminer. Lychees in smell and taste. Sweet touch that makes the taste lively. @Willem Jan Withagen showed me to drink and appreciate more Gewürztraminer. Paired this with melon and ham, zucchini, shrimps in homemade tomatosauce and blue d’auvergne. All went well. — 7 years ago

Unlike last night this is all tongue and no bite in the cheeks. Rich in flavor as expected from the age and color. Silent referring if I recall correctly to the fact that it is closed. Don’t think it ever produced a single malt and was part of blends back in the day. ABV 40% — 2 years ago

A grape from Piemonte I didn’t know, apparantly lost but coming up again due to the younger generation winemakers. I’m in! Transparant in colour, gamay like taste and very light on it’s feet. But it’s a silent killer with it’s 14,5%. Very pleasant surprise! — 5 years ago
This one had some years on it but still maintained its “liquid steel” focus. — 6 years ago
Poured this at our church benefit wine tasting last night as a sample of a Scott Harvey Zin, hoping to encourage bids on the 3 liter bottle on the silent auction table. Wound up wishing I had poured less generously; finished it when we got home, wanting more. Everybody loved it. — 7 years ago

What a great wine! Pinot Noir from the Cote Champenois. Very mineral, with some nice red fruit on the palate. You can taste where a Blanc de Noir gets its profile from in this wine. Great to have this “Grand Cru” with some age on it (9 years). I picked up two bottles up in the silent bid auction of the 2025 Wine on Wheels event. Such a lucky buy. Enjoyed with home cooked grilled lamb, sautéed mushrooms with a Sherry reduction, asparagus and wild rice medley. Pretty good, although probably a touch better with something more along the lines of poultry (roast chicken or duck, maybe turkey). — 9 months ago
