Good sweet Riesling, a little sweeter than I expected. Very sweet attack with flavors of honey and pineapple, followed by crisp finish. Good even if a little over-sweet. — 3 years ago
My first GG purchase - and what a bargain at $38. Fuller bodied and ripe Riesling that managed to be juicy, dry, and elegant. A hint of oak adds a nice creaminess to the mid palate, while the finish features sizzling clean acidity.
More info: Rosengarten is a 3.5 ha former monopole that is enclosed by historic stone walls and castle ruins which offer protection from wind and cool air (Spreitzer owns 2.5 ha). The soil is shell limestone rich with calcerous loam. — 4 years ago
Apricot marmalade and drying flowers. A little more advanced than expected but still delicious. — 5 years ago
Distinctive style of Riesling from the old vines of the Hendelberg vineyard. Noticeable skin contact and oak influence make this seem a tad more mature than 2017. Underripe passionfruit, strawberries and cream, and spice with a honeyed, medium bodied palate. $20 — 4 years ago

Light/medium body, golden color with green hues intertwined. Strong nose of rubber or latex, candied white fruits, bubble gum powder, and maybe some jasmine as well? After a week of being open it still had great energy, good acidity and a clean, mineral finish with crisp, white and yellow fruit flavors lingering LONG after the first sip, with notes of hay, ethanol and maybe some apricot or cumquat. Very well crafted, old world, and complex dry Riesling. — 6 days ago
