Verdicchio

La Marca di San Michele

CapoVolto Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore 2021

Structure is on point: high acidity, long finish, full mouthfeel. Flavors are a jumbled mess though. Bruised fruit is primary. Clean up some of that and this would be fire. — 3 months ago

Monastero Trappiste Vittorchiano

Coenobium Lazio Bianco Trebbiano Blend 2020

Really interesting white blend made by devout Cistercian sisters at Monastero Trappiste. Its a deep golden color, showing the 1 week of skin contact. Almost an orange wine. Herby and floral, smells like an aged autumn garden. Chamomile, almonds, and citrus notes. Unsurprisingly savory but still refreshing. (Btw- Love the label.) — 8 months ago

Slightly effervescent, with dried apricots, honeysuckle.... superbly drinkable and a great accompaniment to watching YouTube videos about influencers. — a month ago

Colle Stefano

Verdicchio di Matelica 2024

The is a medium bodied wine with a light greenish straw color. Aromas of citrus blossom and white peaches . With flavors of tangerine, lime, white peach and a pleasant hint of mineral & acidity. Very crisp, smooth and enjoyable! — 3 months ago

Umani Ronchi

Casal di Serra Vecchie Vigne Classico Superiore Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi 2023

Austere was the first word that came to mind and then I saw it in @Tom Casagrande’s review as well (though of the previous vintage). Overall I still enjoyed it, but you have to be in the mood for a crisp, somewhat bitter, reclusive wine. — 4 months ago
