Lush, dense and very interesting Verdicchio. Beautifully combines the acidic bite, the appetizing bitterness and the sweet richness of warm candied lemon. Complex nuances of spice, pastry and rocks add to the overall presentation.
Although this is certainly one of the best Verdicchios I ever tasted, I generally prefer La Monacesca’s Mirum... Especially when I take their pricing into consideration.

Benchmark verdicchio di matelica. Fresh, mineral, classic green almond, stone fruit, round. Served too cold, really opened up as the wine came up to temp. Wouldn't mind a little more acid, but who cares when the wine is already this good. — a month ago
