Domaine Pierre Luneau-Papin

Le Verger Muscadet Sèvre & Maine Tiré Sur Lie Melon de Bourgogne 2018

A few years ago before a short trip to Nantes, @Peter van den Besselaar pointed me in the direction of this producer of Muscadet. “Put it in your cellar and forget about it!” he said. I bought 6 bottles of each of the single “vineyards” varieties (they are called different there) and the only thing is….. it should have been 12 or 18 or….. what a fantastic wines they produce, mineral, acid, full bodied. And the PQR is outstanding. They go (as Muscadet should) with fruits de mer, with steamed mussels or simply alone! — 9 months ago

In my last tasting I got a lot of comments, romo, for what I thought frivolous 👯‍♀️ was not recognized by some others 🤭

In my case, and I believe in yours as well, this word is not a pejorative. Though, I can see how others may interpret it as such. Many wines, esp natural or vin de table, etc, provide joy but do not take themselves too seriously.. frivolous. 🤓
